Matinées symphoniques"We would like to give them an appetite for music; it's an investment for their future." Maestro Yoav Talmi Introducing school children to symphonic music is at the heart of the OSQ's mission. For over 70 years, the Symphonic Matinees have been a showcase for symphonic music for primary school children, and more recently, the Notes à répétition , which targets high school students, have allowed more than half a million young people to learn and understand how a large orchestra works. In some cases, it is their first contact with symphonic music!! It is a formidable experience for young listeners to see and hear the OSQ interpret great works, which are always designed to have them discover and appreciate great music! These activities are of the utmost importance for the OSQ. That is why the Association des bénévoles de l'OSQ actively contributes to financing these programs, primarily through a fundraising campaign among the general public. Their vigour ensures the future of these young ears.
